In a recent survey conducted by the World Economic Forum, Kuwait is ranked on the 137th position out of the total 140 countries in the list. The report is titled ‘The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Report 2013‘.
Iceland is ranked as the most friendly country for this report.
Kuwait is ranked a little bit better ‘Tourism openness‘ list at number 60:
In the list titled as ‘Extension of business trips recommended‘, Kuwait is ranked at a worse position, i.e. 139 behind countries such as Sierra Leone or Chad. Second to the last. Hmmm, disappointing I must say.
And in the final list, ‘Degree of customer orientation‘, it is ranked at a much better position of 62.
Whats going on? I mean, we have friendly people here. We have some very friendly people here even though Kuwait has few tourism spots. Two of the rankings in the report are for the better and two are at bad spots, hopefully we will see much better positions next time. Kuwait really needs to up its level when compared to countries such as UAE and Qatar.
